The College of Music of Ningbo University separated from the former College of Arts in May 2015. It is an important base for cultivating applied and theoretical music talents in Zhejiang Province, with distinct school-running characteristics, and strives to become a model of aesthetic education for comprehensive universities with typical influence in the Yangtze River Delta Region.
The college currently has 1 undergraduate program in Musicology (National First-class Undergraduate Program Construction Site, the only A+ program at Ningbo University), 1 first-level discipline master's program in "Art Studies", and 1 professional master's degree program in "Music". It houses teaching, research and practice institutions including:
