Program Objectives
The Musicology (Teacher Education) major aims to cultivate high-quality applied talents who develop morally, intellectually, physically and aesthetically. These talents should master the basic theories, knowledge and skills of music education, and possess modern educational concepts, good cultural literacy, professional ethics, innovative awareness and practical ability.
Graduation Requirements
Graduates are required to:
Have strong political, ideological and moral qualities;
Possess certain foreign language and computer application skills;
Master basic teaching skills for nine-year compulsory education and fundamental principles of pedagogy, with basic teaching organization ability;
Grasp core knowledge, theories and skills of musicology;
Be proficient in basic methods of music literature retrieval and information inquiry, with initial ability to conduct teaching and scientific research;
Have awareness of lifelong learning, strong self-study ability and problem-solving skills.
Degree Awarded: Bachelor of Arts.
